You can choose to go to the world, which offers brief human comfort and distractions, or you can choose to go to God. Jesus knew where He belonged and went straight to His Father's house. Now it's our turn to decide where we'll go - let's also find our hope and comfort and joy in the presence of God!
Due to the rain, we will be meeting via zoom - join us this Tuesday at 6:45 pm for group Bible study!

If you feel alone and overwhelmed, remember the disciples who were out facing a storm all by themselves, feeling like they were going to die - not knowing that Jesus was watching over them the whole time. He is God who has power over nature and over all of history, but sometimes He is waiting for the right moment to intervene. Wait for Him, amd trust in Him.
We meet for group Bible study Tuesdays at 6:45 pm in URC 202B - stop by for a snack and the word of God!

Jesus showed righteous anger when He cleared the temple, fighting against the greed of the leaders who were using God's house for their own gain. How many tables will He have to flip in our lives before we repent and turn to Him? Let's humble ourselves and have the same zeal Jesus had for God's name and honor.
"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Thy name."

Jesus could have filled up the people's cups with wine by just snapping His fingers, or caused a well to suddenly overflow with wine. He could have had a merchant suddenly appear with barrels of it and solved the problem then and there. Why did He choose to work with water, of all things? Water is a plain and common element that we can easily pour on the ground, whereas wine is a beverage that requires preparation and patience to make and can easily be worth thousands of dollars. Perhaps we are the common, regular water that Jesus has selected for His plan to make high quality wine - spiritual leaders who can change human history. But there's a process for such miracles...
Let's find out together how Jesus works to make water into wine! We meet for group Bible study Tuesdays 6:45 pm - snacks and refreshments provided!

Andrew's words spoken more than 2000 words ago are just as fresh and surprising and exciting today - we have found the Messiah! He is the real answer to our sins, the solution to the deep hole the world has dug itself into. It seems like society is collectively spiraling down into a never-ending cycle of chaos and violence and fear, but the Messiah is the one who saves us and brings us into a life of peace. Have you found the Messiah in your life?
